The Conflict Prevention Newsletter is one of the few general newsletters on conflict prevention and resolution in the world. It has a circulation of 2,500 world-wide. Regular contributions to the Newsletter from prominent organisations such as International Alert, Saferworld and the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) greatly enhance its international focus as well as its quality of information.

Meetings

European Platform meetings are organised annually by the European Centre for Conflict Prevention.

Last Platform meeting: 17-19th of March in Bilbao, Spain

This year's meeting was organised in cooperation with Elkarri, an NGO which focuses on dialogue in the Basque Country. The meeting was very interesting as we had, next to our normal Platform meeting participants, additional representation from the NGO community in Spain, Southern Europe and from the Western CIS countries, the Balkans and Caucasus. These two and a half days included discussions on the implementation of the Dublin Action Agenda, input on the Global Action Agenda of the Global Partnership for the Prevention for Armed Conflict (GPPAC) and reflections on how to strengthen the European Platform as a European Network of NGOs working in the field of conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
