Peter van Tuijl, is the Executive Director of ECCP. He is responsible for the policy, strategy and overall management of ECCP. In between 2000-2007, Mr. van Tuijl lived in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he worked as a Program Advisor/Civil Society expert with the UNDP-led Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia and as a Senior Technical Advisor to a project combating corruption in the Indonesian National Police, under the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), United States Department of Justice. Before, he worked as a Senior Advisor with OxfamNovib. He has served as Executive Secretary to the International NGO Forum on Indonesian Development (INFID), a transnational NGO coalition focusing on Indonesia. Mr. Van Tuijl graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a Masters Decree in Modern Asian History. He has published a number of articles in Academic Journals and other media, on the role of NGOs, transnational civil society, human rights, NGO accountability, and social and political developments in Indonesia. He is co-editor with Lisa Jordan of "NGO Accountability, Politics, Principles and Innovations" (Earthscan 2006). The book was recently translated into Chinese (Renmin University 2008).
Paul van Tongeren, is the Honorary Chair of GPPAC and responsible for the representing and strengthening the GPPAC network. Under his leadership, GPPAC organised the first international civil society conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, which brought together a thousand participants from around the world in 2005. At this conference the Global Action Agenda for the Prevention of Violent Conflict was launched. In 1997 he founded the European Centre for Conflict Prevention (ECCP) and proceeded to serve as its Executive Director for ten years. Over a period of forty years, he has initiated and co-established several programs, international networks and NGOs in the fields of fair trade, development, environment, twinning and linking (Towns and Development), and peace and conflict.
Jenny Aulin, ECCP's Funding Coordinator, is responsible for ECCP's fundraising strategies, donor relations and reporting. Jenny graduated in Development Studies and Spanish/Portuguese (University of Wales Swansea/UK 2002) and recently completed a Master in Culture, Organisations and Management at the Vrije Universiteit/The Netherlands. She has done research in Latin America on NGO policy and practice from a 'Global versus Local' perspective. Her most recent professional background is in the field of organisational development, networks, and capacity building (including fundraising) with local voluntary organisations in London, UK. Jenny joined the ECCP team in September 2008.
Frank Boerhave, Programme Manager Early Warning & Early Response, and Regional Coordinator for Eastern and Central Africa, West Africa, and Southern Africa, is responsible for developing the ECCP/GPPAC Early Warning & Early Response Programme (EWER) and supporting the sub-Saharan African GPPAC regions. He supports and develops GPPAC EWER mechanisms and tools to strengthen the exchange of EWER experiences between the 15 Regional Networks of GPPAC. Between 2002 and 2009, Frank worked in Latin America, Asia and Africa in the field of human rights, public health and medical emergency relief. Early 2009 he returned to Holland from a mission as General Coordinator with Medecins Sans Frontieres in South and East DR Congo. Frank was born and raised in Holland and studied History, Journalism and Humanitarian Assistance in Groningen, Holland and Bochum, Germany.
Victoria Carreras, the Peace Portal Manager, is responsible for the overall development of the project and its successful launch, including the daily management and marketing of the portal. She has an academic background in contemporary history (university of Girona, Spain) and in European studies (university of Amsterdam). She worked 9 years in the commercial sector, European headquarters of Mitsubishi Motors, as Internet manager within the marketing and communication department. After a year working at the VU university in Amsterdam as web portals functional manager, Victoria has started at ECCP as Peace Portal manager.
Charlotte Crockett, the Communications Coordinator, is responsible for the communications strategy and communications tools of GPPAC. She is also the Regional Coordinator for the Western Balkans. Charlotte has worked for the ECCP on a project basis since 2003, researching and drafting various publications and co-organizing a number of conferences along the way. She joined the ECCP team permanently in June 2006, and took up the role of Communications Coordinator in October of that year. She also co-coordinated the GPPAC Awareness Raising programme with Marte Hellema in 2006 and 2007, and has focused more on communications since late 2007. Charlotte studied Arts and Humanities at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, specializing in international relations and conflict studies.

Hazel Goedhart, the Programme Assistant Network Building, is responsible for supporting the consolidation and effective functioning of GPPAC's network and governance structures. Hazel holds a Master's degree in Political Science, with specialisation in International Relations, from the Free University of Amsterdam. She has worked with local human rights groups and community-based organisations in Ethiopia, and has also worked as a researcher for Fairfood International. She joined the ECCP staff in October 2009 as Programme Assistant Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, before taking on her current responsibilities for the Network Building Programme in July 2010.
Marte Hellema, Programme Manager Awareness Raising, focusses on the development of awareness raising tools and strategies, GPPAC's International Day of Peace campaign, as well as the GPPAC media strategy. Marte is also the Regional Coordinator for Northeast Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific . Before taking up these functions, Marte worked as one of the editors of People Building Peace II: Successful Stories of Civil Society, and on preparations for the Global Conference in New York in July 2005. Marte has a background in Political Science & International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Granada, Spain where she focussed on conflict studies, specifically disarmament of small arms and light weapons. She has also worked on security and defence issues, and with youth and Diaspora groups on conflict prevention and peacebuilding as both a project coordinator and trainer.
Kees Kolsteeg, is the Finance Manager for the ECCP.
Zahid Movlazadeh, is the Programme Manager Knowledge Generation and Sharing and Regional Coordinator for Western CIS, the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East and North Africa. He is responsibe for strengthening and building the capacity of the GPPAC Network by developing strategies and tools for exchanging experiences and lessons learned throughout the global network. Zahid has more than seven years of experience in development of grass-roots community conflict resolution networks, development and facilitation of public diplomacy and confidence building initiatives, facilitation of bilateral meetings and dialogue sessions, coordination of projects aimed at promoting peace and cross-cultural dialogue in the South Caucasus and in Russia. Prior to joining ECCP in February 2008 he worked with International Alert, Centre for Peacebuilding and Community Development, Relief International, and served as a consultant for various local and international organizations on conflict transformation related projects. Zahid holds a degree in Biochemistry from Baku State University and has also taken several courses on civil society development at John Hopkins University in MD, USA.

Darynell Rodriguez Torres, Programme Manager Interaction and Advocacy and regional coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean, Northern America and Northern and Western Europe, works to strengthen cooperation between GPPAC members and policy makers from governments, regional international organisations and the UN to provide inputs for shaping conflict prevention and peace building strategies. For more than 5 years, he worked in the Secretariat of Ibero-American Cooperation (currently SEGIB), a regional international organisation with headquarters in Madrid which acts as the executive body of the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government; first in the area of multilateral cooperation programs and then in the Cabinet of the Secretary General. Prior to joining ECCP he also worked as a consultant for private firms, and specialized in political risk and public policy issues. Darynell's academic background includes a degree in International Studies and Political Science from West Virginia University, a Masters in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and postgraduate studies in Spain in the field of public policy and political management.
Goele Scheers, is the Programme Manager Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. Her main task is to develop the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning system for the GPPAC network. In addition to her position on the ECCP Management Team, Goele has set up a Quality System for the ECCP. Goele edited the publication "Assessing Progress on the Road to Peace. Planning, Monitoring and Evaluating Conflict Prevention Activities" and authored the article "Measuring Success in Complex Settings: The Experiences of GPPAC with Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation". She holds a Master in Intercultural Conflict Management.
